Our Side Window Surround kit is made up of multiple CNC profiled lightweight plywood & aluminium parts and is offered as a DIY only kit which can be lined by yourselves in a variety of materials to match (or contrast with) the rest of your conversion.

The window surround is designed to be cut into the existing ply lined wall of the conversion, maintaining a cavity to the outer skin. (We'd love to offer a fully lined kit, but due to it fitting into an existing wall it's not possible).

The kit is supplied with a paper template to use to create the exact shape of window aperture, along with guidance on the positioning, to maximise the window aperture. The surround has a return to create a seamless fit against the window when fitted. The kit will come supplied flat packed and requires assembly of the surround onto the self-cut 6mm plywood panel, using the instructions provided. The aluminium corner sections will be supplied flat and will need bending to match the corner profiles. This is easily done by forming with your thumbs using mild pressure, or can be pressed over a round object to achieve a curve. Please note; when lining, we strongly recommend using a good quality, 4-way stretch Automotive carpet, (such as Easyliner automotive carpet) due to the tight corners and depth of return. Can be fitted to any conversion, not just one of ours. Flush fitting window surround, with maximum aperture and seamless fit against the window.
