To achieve a structural bond between glass and metal work the surface must be clean and free from grease or dirt. Use the cleaning wipe on the glass and metal work. Primer is applied to both surfaces. The metal work and the metal work. Primer must be in contact with the adhesive.

The adhesive (urethane) is a vehicle glazing specific product, Urethane has a fairly thick consistency, if it was runny it wouldn't stay in place when the adhesive is applied or when the window is pushed into the adhesive. To aid its application its recommended to use a caulking gun with a higher lever ratio.

Pre Heating the adhesive tube prior to use is also beneficial if your using a standard caulking gun or a higher ratio adhesive gun. A heat gun/hairdryer can be used for this to gently heat it.

The adhesive must be applied in one continuous run on the metal work with no gaps. The U Trim is used to cover the cut edge.

Its fitted before the window is bonded in and trimmed to length. To fit simply push the trim over the factory metal stampings and the outer cut edge. Please use appropriate protective equipment when fitting.
